In May 1949, the experimental factory of North China Wine Monopoly Company, the predecessor of Red Star, was established, and then 12 old wineries including Yuansheng were incorporated, fully inheriting the traditional brewing technology of Beijing Erguotou. As the first state-owned brewery in Beijing, it brewed the first batch of red star brand Erguotou wine, a tribute to the birth of new China. Due to the excellent completion of the task, Red Star became the only wine company that participated in the founding ceremony. At the same time, Red Star has also become the first enterprise in Beijing to use the name of Erguotou technology as the product name, creating the category of Erguotou in Beijing.
Red Star is a famous time-honored enterprise in China and a national intangible cultural heritage protection unit. For more than 70 years, it has always practiced the historical mission of "making good wine for the people", and has become the leading wine on the people's table.
