Liubiju soy sauce shop is located in Beijing, and it is said that it was created in the middle of the Ming Dynasty. The large gold plaque hanging in Liubiju is said to be inscribed by Yan Song, a great scholar of the Ming Dynasty. Liubiju used to be a small shop run by Zhao Cunren, Zhao Cunyi and Zhao Cunli from Xidu Village, Linfen, Shanxi Province, which exclusively sold firewood, rice, oil and salt. As the saying goes, "There are seven things to open the door: firewood, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea." These seven things are indispensable in people's daily life. The small shop of the Zhao brothers was named Liubiju because it did not sell tea.
There are twelve kinds of traditional products in Liubiju, which are: sweet pickled black vegetables, sweet pickled eight treasure vegetables, sweet pickled eight treasure melons, sweet pickled cucumbers, sweet sauce sweet dew, sweet sauce ginger sprouts, sweet sauce assorted coriander, sweet sauce radish, sweet pickled melon, white sugar garlic, thin yellow sauce, and pu lin soy sauce. These products are bright in color, rich in sauce flavor, crisp, tender and fragrant, moderately salty and sweet. Many famous traditional pickles are also canned and sold abroad.
